Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a Logistics Center or high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and decision making skills.
• Strong budgeting and analytical skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Experience in Power BI, Alteryx and data analytics a plus.

• Analyze current warehouse workflows, material handling processes, and space utilization to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Design and develop optimized logistics center layouts using CAD to improve operational flow, storage density, and support growth.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including value stream maps and process flow diagrams for current and future state operations.
• Work with EHS team to support ergonomic studies ensuring safe, efficient workflows.
• Manage optimization projects from conception through implementation within timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Facilities, and IT to ensure seamless execution of layout changes and new processes.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the FAST site Industrial Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, collaborating on critical projects relating to our site productivity & lean operations, as well ensuring site designs for safety.

You will provide input relating to logistics process and layout optimization opportunities, as well as data-driven continuous improvement efforts.

This involves analyzing current workflows, designing new, more efficient layouts, and managing the implementation of these changes from planning to completion.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyze current warehouse workflows, material handling processes, and space utilization to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Design and develop optimized logistics center layouts using CAD software to improve operational flow, storage density, and support growth.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including value stream maps and process flow diagrams, for current and future state operations.
• Work with our EHS team in support of ergonomic studies to ensure designed workflows are safe, efficient, and minimize physical strain on personnel.
• Manage optimization projects independently from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Facilities, and IT to ensure seamless execution of layout changes and new process introductions.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, support data-driven decision-making, and uncover new optimization opportunities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years working in a Logistics Center or similar high volume environment
• Strong communication & decision making skills
• Strong budgeting and analytical skills
• Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
• Experience in Power BI, Alteryx and Data analytics a plus
