Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a capable manufacturing operator to set up and run equipment including manual mills, lathes, lasers, and CNC-controlled machines. You will load and unload parts with jib cranes and forklifts while adhering to QA protocols and safety standards.

The role requires the ability to read detailed drawings, use measuring tools, and pass respirator, hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in blasting, operating manual mills, lathes and laser applications preferred.
• Active fork truck/crane license or ability to obtain it on selection; Work Keys Silver recommended.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC controls.
• Load/unload parts using cranes and forklifts; assist crane operator.
• Follow Siemens procedures to ensure safety and quality; interpret drawings and specs.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment (some requiring using CNC controls) for multiple operations to include but not limited to Blaster, Laser Drillers, bonding process, heat treatment, manual machining and hand tools, etc. Must have the ability to wear a respirator

How You'll Make An Impact

• Embrace Safety & Quality Culture.
• Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
• Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and figure out necessary tools to perform required machining operations
• Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
• Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.

What You Bring

• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate the ability and skills in blasting, operating manual mills, lathes, and variety of hand tools, and laser applications.
• Required Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to obtain it immediately on selection) and Career Readiness / Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status.
• Proficient with mechanical aptitude, loading/unloading workpieces, adhering to QA protocols, performing complex metrology, and interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math skills.
• Ability to wear a respirator. Successful applicants must also be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform the duties.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
