Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller with Construction Industry experience for the Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice. The role is based out of Green Bay, WI or Appleton, WI and focuses on mitigating risk, meeting deadlines, and aligning workforce needs with financial strategy.

You will develop GAAP knowledge, lead budgeting and financial planning, and coordinate procurement activities while guiding accounting staff and communicating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of related experience may be accepted.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• 7 years of Controller-level experience; construction industry experience highly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investments.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for regulatory agencies.
• Monitor KPIs and financial staff performance; implement improvements.
• Advise management on financial objectives and policy actions.
• Communicate with boards, bankers, and investors; prepare board materials.
