Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Logistics Analyst to support NSWC Dahlgren Division. You will function as a Purchase Requisition creator, ensuring accurate, justified, and compliant PRs across departments, with on-site support and day-to-day operations.

The role requires US citizenship, an AA or equivalent experience, proficiency with ERP/IBPES, and strong Microsoft Office skills. You will manage high-volume PR activities and provide timely metrics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret prior to start.
• Associate degree (AA) in a related business field, OR three plus years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
• Proven ability to multitask, work independently with minimal oversight, exercise discretion, manage priorities, and make informed decisions.
• Ability to work across multiple online databases (ERP/IBPES) to diagnose issues and respond to customer requests.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and time management skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Oversee data transition from IBPES to ERP to generate purchase requisitions.
• Research, evaluate, and manage rejected requisitions within deadlines.
• Lead and track communications with customers across departments and maintain logs.
• Facilitate process improvements in PR creation workflow.
• Assist P-Card and AO in obtaining documentation and signatures for monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure PR process metrics, standards, and deadlines are met.
• Interface with Departments, Comptrollers, SMEs, AO's for guidance and support.
• Manage PR activities with Incremental, OFD, Service and Material SAPs, De-obligations and Realignments.
• Prioritize high-volume backlog of requests based on mission-criticality.
• Provide accurate metrics data affecting financial and operational reporting.
