Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO), an Akima company, seeks a Procurement Specialist to support NSWC Corporate Operations at Dam Neck, VA. You will manage procurement activities through the full lifecycle, ensuring FAR-compliant processes and rapid responses to internal and external customers in a on-site setting.

The role requires US citizenship, an associate degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with MILSTRIP, PCard, SAP, ERP, and MS Office.

Qualifications

US citizen with Interim Secret or higher clearance preferred, active clearance desired.
Associate's degree or ≥3 years related work experience.
Ability to work independently across multiple online systems.
Familiarity with MILSTRIP, PCard, SAP and related procurement tools.
Understanding of procurement life cycle and FAR requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee procurement requirements analysis for internal and external customers.
Determine compliant procurement vehicles conforming to FAR and assist with documentation.
Manage life-cycle procurement process including IT Procurement Review, PR creation, and DRMO coordination.
Analyze requirements and respond quickly to inquiries to meet mission needs.
Advise on Simplified Acquisition Procedures to support efficient procurement.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders at multiple levels.
