Position Summary

A Logistics Analyst is responsible for coordinating and overseeing drivers, trucks, and containers to optimize capacity, productivity, and service quality. Responsibilities include safety oversight, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Principal Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  2. Analyze daily routing data and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Respond to same-day and next-day service changes using routing systems.
  4. Verify route closures for accuracy and timeliness.
  5. Resolve transit issues proactively.
  6. Manage driver safety and security, providing guidance.
  7. Analyze logistics data to improve routing accuracy.
  8. Maintain communication with drivers for route updates.
  9. Address driver performance issues.
  10. Understand route sequencing for efficiency.
  11. Handle missed pickups and service commitments.
  12. Develop strategies to prevent missed pickups.
  13. Create maximized routes considering load capacity and profitability.
  14. Monitor routing activities to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  15. Identify and develop swing routes and opportunities.
  16. Adjust plans based on daily operational needs.
  17. Coordinate disposal plans and site selections.
  18. Discuss and update disposal strategies with management.
  19. Optimize service requests for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Customer Experience
  • Interact courteously with customers.
  • Design routes to prevent service issues and ensure compliance.
  • Prioritize customer promises and service commitments.
  • Update call center communications daily.
  • Address route issues causing delays and communicate with customers.
  • Review routing media for service exceptions and messages.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Experience with time-sensitive tasks.

  • Two years of experience in a dispatcher or leadership role preferred.
