Job summary

Givens Incorporated in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Account Representative to join our logistics and warehousing team. This full-time, temp-to-perm position serves as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service and administrative skills, experience in logistics or warehousing is a plus, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in clerical/administrative role; 3+ preferred.
• Customer service experience; 3+ preferred.
• Logistics/warehousing/import-export experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments with customers, warehouse ops, carriers.
• Process orders and provide daily activity and reports.
• Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, etc.).
• Assist with import/export shipments and communicate with customers.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, billing and inventory records.
• Monitor shipments and resolve issues with documentation.
• Support inventory activities and cycle counts.
• Prepare customer invoicing and supporting docs.
• Respond to questions and service issues promptly.
• Escalate issues when needed.
• Learn and use the warehouse management system.
