Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Product Line Director for the LOCUST family of Directed Energy systems to own the product line, manage production programs, and guide lifecycle management from concept through fielding and sustainment.

You will lead cross-functional IPTs with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts and finance, coordinate with government customers, and shape the technical roadmap while ensuring disciplined execution, cost and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Business or related field.
• 10+ years in defense programs, product line management, or program management.
• Experience leading directed energy or complex defense systems.
• Experience with government customers (Army/NNSA/AF) and program execution.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution of LOCUST product line across all program phases.
• Lead IPTs including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts, and finance.
• Develop and manage program budgets, EACs, forecasts, and margins.
• Translate customer CONOPS into executable program plans and product enhancements.
• Represent LOCUST product line in executive forums.
