Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking physicians for locum tenens assignments, typically 7–14 days per month with 7-day blocks starting Thursdays. You will provide general surgery coverage, with colon surgery not required, and handle bariatric post-operative cases in the ED as needed.

You will evaluate, stabilize, and facilitate transfers for complex presentations while maintaining hospital privileges and working with weatherby consultants. Travel and housing logistics are handled through Weatherby.

Qualifications

• Bread and butter general surgery; colon surgery not required.
• Must be comfortable managing bariatric post-op cases in the ED.
• Evaluate, stabilize, and facilitate transfer for complex presentations.

Responsibilities

• 7–14 days per month — 7-day blocks beginning Thursday AM.
• Call coverage included.
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal.
• 24-hour access to Weatherby Healthcare consultant.
• Charter member of NALTO.
