Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens general surgeon in Washington. The role offers 7–14 days per month as 7-day blocks beginning Thursday morning, with call coverage included.

You will work in a high-volume clinical setting, evaluating and stabilizing patients and facilitating transfers for complex cases. The ideal candidate has board certification or eligibility, is comfortable managing bariatric post‑op cases in the ED, and has hospital privileges.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility required for licensure and practice.
• Must be comfortable managing bariatric post-op cases in the ED.
• Call coverage included as part of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, stabilize, and facilitate transfer for complex presentations.
• Bread and butter general surgery; colon surgery not required.
