Job summary

Amtrak in Long Island City, NY is seeking a Utility Worker to perform maintenance and servicing of locomotives and facilities in accordance with FRA, FDA, and Amtrak standards. The position involves operating light cranes and related equipment, keeping the shop and yard clean, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs services on locomotives and equipment such as sanding, cleaning, washing and scraping.
• Operates light cranes, tractors, forklifts, and similar equipment.
• Maintain shop/yard cleanliness and care for materials and tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
