Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a maintenance professional in Delaware to service locomotives and facilities per FRA, FDA, and Amtrak standards. Responsibilities include cleaning, waste disposal, and operating light cranes and forklifts.

The role requires a high school diploma, manual labor experience, and relevant certifications. A valid driver’s license is required where necessary to operate company vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manual labor is required.
• Complete training and attain certifications applicable to job.
• Valid driver’s license required where necessary to operate company vehicle.
• Experience operating cranes, power tools and rigging equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform services on locomotives and equipment (sanding, cleaning, washing).
• Dispose of hazardous waste per FDA/Amtrak standards.
• Carry out shop maintenance and operate motor equipment.
• Use light cranes, tractors, forklifts and similar equipment.
• Maintain proper care of materials and tools.
