Job summary

Patriot Transportation is seeking a Conductor to oversee the safe operation and overall duties of the locomotive crew. You will ensure compliance with train orders, signals, and FRA regulations, while coordinating with dispatchers and yardmasters.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to read bulletins, and hands-on experience with railcars. A valid license, background check, and fitness to work on a 24-hour schedule are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2 years verifiable work experience and/or college; railroad industry experience preferred.
• Must pass all required assessments.
• Must pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and operation of locomotive per orders, signals, and FRA rules.
• Inspect equipment on cars prior to departures.
• Communicate information via radio and telephone.
• Assist with coupling/uncoupling and minor repairs to railcars.
