This position exists to provide skilled locksmith work on all locks, associated equipment, and key control in a professional manner by providing consistent quality services to ensure clean, safe and environmentally sound buildings, grounds and operations for all clientele. Some of the job duties include: Ensuring security by installing and maintaining locks, cores, and related hardware while providing necessary repairs. Oversee key control and inventory management to safeguard the Capitol Complex, keeping accurate records of issued keys. Plan and implement new locking systems to align with modern security standards. Train backup staff to ensure operational continuity. Collaborate with various teams to support smooth facility management, comply with safety regulations, and execute additional tasks as assigned.

Must possess a valid class D driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
Successful candidate must pass pre-employment physical. Physical Demands: Work Performance Testing (WPT). Job involves exerting up to 21-35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 13-21 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 7-10 pounds of force constantly to move or lift objects.
Must possess a valid class D driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK THROUGH AMERICAN DATABANK, AND EMPLOYMENT REFERENCE CHECKS. A criminal history does not automatically disqualify an applicant, and each case will be reviewed individually in alignment with fair hiring practices.
