A leading company in aerospace and defense seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III to provide formal instruction on aircraft operations and maintenance. Basic Qualifications
The instructor shall possess, at a minimum, the
equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with
military experience clearing aircraft for flight, equipment discrepancies, and 4 years current
experience in their respective disciplines on F-
16s. Must have strong communication and
interpersonal skills and be able to read, write,
and speak English fluently. Experience with
Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) is mandatory. All instructors shall be
U.S. citizens. All personnel must have a secret
clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to employment. All necessary
instructor, technical, and skills certifications must
be obtained prior to employment.

Provide formal instruction and assistance with aircraft launch and recovery, jacking, lifting, towing; and end-of-runway, post-flight, preflight, and thru-flight inspections. Teach students how to perform inventories and maintain aircraft structures and equipment, as well as maintaining aircraft forms and records. Performs phase dock functions. Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, services, adjusts, aligns, rigs, and modifies the F-16 hydraulic power and landing gear system/subsystem components at the organizational level.

Desired skills
Experience working with foreign nationals and documented instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive during employment consideration. F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience in shop/flight line setup, debrief, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams are preferred. Experience in more than one of these areas will be viewed positively during employment consideration.
