Who You Are

Repairs and opens locks, makes keys, and changes lock combinations, using hand tools and special equipment. Disassembles locks, such as padlocks, safe locks, and door locks, and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts. Moves lockpick in cylinder to open door locks without keys. May keep records of company locks and keys.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

What You’ll Do

As a Locksmith, you will:

  1. Install locks and security systems.
  2. Duplicate keys and create master keys.
  3. Change lock combinations and install safes.
  4. Provide emergency lockout services.
  5. Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  6. Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
  7. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of proven experience as a locksmith or similar role.
  2. GSA certification required.
  3. Ability to travel.
  4. Familiarity with lockpicking tools and techniques.
  5. Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  6. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  7. Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
  8. Clearance: Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
