Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Lock Assembler in North Canton, OH. The role focuses on precise assembly of safety interlocks, reading drawings, and documenting quality. The first shift is from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime potential and a contract-to-hire path.

You'll work on an assembly line assembling mechanical and electromechanical interlocks, perform tests, maintain records, and contribute to a safety-focused, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic assembly drawings.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Comfort working with very small pieces in precision assembly.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to use measuring equipment to meet tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly and documentation.
• Solid problem-solving skills for assembly or quality issues.
• Comfort with repetitive assembly line and packing tasks.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical safety interlocks according to drawings and work instructions.
• Configure key sequences to meet customer requirements.
• Perform functional testing and quality checks on interlocks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to meet tolerances.
• Read and interpret basic assembly drawings and follow written instructions.
• Support packing and related production tasks as needed.
• Maintain consistent attendance to support schedules.
• Communicate issues to production, quality, and engineering teams.
