Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for an Assembler on 1st shift in North Canton, OH. The role focuses on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of industrial safety interlocks, following precise drawings and instructions.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to read blueprints, and experience with hand/power tools. It is a contract-to-hire role with potential for long-term opportunities and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform manufacturing assembly tasks, including very small pieces.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely.
• Ability to read basic assembly drawings and follow detailed written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail to meet tight tolerances and high-quality assemblies.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and address assembly or functional issues.
• Comfort in repetitive, assembly-line environment including packing tasks.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing assembly or mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical safety interlocks according to drawings and instructions.
• Configure key sequences to customer requirements.
• Perform functional testing and quality checks on assemblies.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to meet tolerances.
• Document production and quality information accurately.
• Follow safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Communicate issues and collaborate with teams to resolve them.
• Work in an assembly line environment with repetitive tasks and packing as needed.
• Read and interpret basic drawings/blueprints to guide work.
• Maintain reliable attendance to support production schedules.
