Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an Assembler in Akron, OH for 1st shift (Mon–Fri). The role requires deburring, finishing, and assembling machined components to meet drawings and quality specs.

You will inspect parts, apply protective finishes, and prepare items for shipping with adherence to BOMs and work instructions. The candidate should read engineering drawings, use precision measuring tools, and operate overhead cranes as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision metal finishing, hand tool deburring, or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Clean, deburr, polish, and blend machined components using hand tools and grinders.
• Assemble machined parts into finished units per drawings and BOMs.
• Protect surfaces during production and apply proper packaging for shipment.
• Verify part numbers and quantities against job packets before packing.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and surface gauges against specifications.
• Maintain organized work area and operate material handling equipment.
