Job summary

BYU-Pathway Worldwide seeks a Translation & Localization Manager to lead multilingual content programs and ensure accuracy aligned with gospel principles. You will design end-to-end translation workflows, manage terminology and translation memories, and drive cross-department collaboration with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in translation/localization management or related leadership roles.
• Fluency in English plus at least two other languages (Portuguese, Spanish, or French).
• Experience with TMS/CAT tools and managing translation memories, term bases, and glossaries.
• Experience translating/localizing higher education materials; auditing translations.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term strategy and roadmap for translation and localization across BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
• Define and maintain end-to-end translation workflows (assignment, translation, review, QA, release).
• Oversee terminology bases, style guides, and TM maintenance.
• Collaborate with departments to align translation priorities and ensure gospel tone.
• Recruit, train, and mentor translators and reviewers; establish KPIs and QA checkpoints.
• Manage translation budgets and external contractors; prepare cost forecasts.
