Job summary

Intuit is hiring TurboTax Local Service Experts to provide hands-on tax preparation and advisory services at TurboTax locations. The role combines tax expertise with community engagement to grow local clientele, partnering with a broader team of specialists.

Onsite hours typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 20+ hours weekly, with training and uniforms provided. This position emphasizes ongoing learning, customer service excellence, and building long-term relationships within local communities.

Qualifications

• EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active PTIN as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and use your name for advertising
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Build and grow a new local customer base through outreach, grassroots marketing, referrals, and partnerships.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Connect clients with Intuit solutions like bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Build Relationships - Develop trust to turn one-time transactions into long-term relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Ensure professional, helpful service across in-person and virtual interactions.
