Job summary

Intuit is seeking motivated individuals to join TurboTax Local Service Expert locations across the United States. You will provide on-site tax preparation, expert advice, and software support while coordinating with a team of specialists to deliver end-to-end Intuit experiences.

You’ll help grow the local TurboTax client base, engage with communities, and offer personalized tax guidance for diverse situations.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Operating hours are subject to change and will likely scale up during periods of peak customer demand
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development. Training requirements are subject to change based on business needs and the company reserves the right to introduce additional requirements at any time
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise – Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador – actively build and grow a new local customer base through outreach, grass-roots marketing, referrals, and partnerships.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem – connect clients with bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma where appropriate.
• Build Relationships – develop long‑term trust to turn one‑time transactions into ongoing client relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience – ensure professionalism and help clients achieve their financial goals using in-person and video tools.
