Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement to concrete plant locations. You will perform safety inspections, complete DOT-compliant documentation, and coordinate with dispatch for timely deliveries.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of tanker experience, a valid DOT Medical Card, and a clean driving record. Expect local/regional routes, home time, and a competitive compensation package with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL; Tanker Endorsement is helpful but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and climb as needed.
• Excellent time management to meet delivery schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with plant staff and customers.
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings.
• Positive, go-getter attitude aligned with SRM’s 5 Principles of Service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement to SRM plant locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logs and delivery paperwork per DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading to prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Stay current on safety regulations and company policies.
