Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from terminals to concrete plants. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, complete paperwork in line with DOT rules, and maintain open communication with dispatch on route progress.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of tanker driving experience, a clean driving record, and familiarity with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; tanker endorsement helpful but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ Class A tanker driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major tickets or accidents in 5 years.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending and climbing.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documents, and paperwork per DOT rules.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading to prevent spillage or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and company policies.
