Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety‑focused Tanker Operator to safely transport cement from terminals to our plants. You will operate a Class A tanker, perform inspections, complete required paperwork, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement preferred but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card is required.
• Minimum 2 years of proven Class A tanker truck experience.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets/accidents in last 5 years.
• Knowledge of DOT safety regs for transporting materials.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong time management to meet delivery schedules.
• Good communication with plant personnel and customers.
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck to transport cement from terminals to SRM Concrete locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logs and delivery paperwork per DOT and company policy.
• Coordinate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures consistently.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and SRM policies.
