Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring a Local Pickup and Delivery Clerk in El Paso, TX. The role supports the Local P&D department with verification of documents for all loads in the El Paso yard, data entry, and daily carrier communications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography, and excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review all inbound loads to ensure all information matches the order information.
• Process and T-Call all loads brought in by foreign carriers.
• Scan all bills that arrive and with associated order number.
• Document and report any issues with order or trailer discrepancies to the appropriate teams.
• File all envelopes in the appropriate area.
• Send daily emails on local deliveries with pending appointments.
• Compile information for morning meeting numbers.
• Reconcile the yard checks for El Paso, Las Cruces, and Santa Teresa per SOP.
• Respond to email request for load documentation.
