Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by acquiring new business, cross-selling existing customers, and maintaining a strong book of business. This role sells to local customers in person and over the phone, expanding through community involvement, relationships with dealerships, and outside marketing efforts.

You will work with leadership on sales and local marketing initiatives, stay updated on products and underwriting

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing preferred or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
• Ability to sell to local customers in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
