Cobb County Attorney's Office is seeking a qualified attorney to serve as legal counsel to the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and designated departments. The role focuses on negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing advice on legislation and intergovernmental matters.

Minimum qualifications include a Juris Doctor and five years of contract experience; preferred candidates have local government law exposure and GA Bar licensure.

• Juris Doctor degree required with bar admission.
• Minimum five years’ experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts.
• Experience in local government law and contracting preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as legal counsel for the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and assigned departments.
• Negotiate, draft and review contracts to protect County interests and minimize liability.
• Develop, interpret and advise on legislation, ordinances, and intergovernmental agreements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; participate in training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
