Job summary

US1166 FreshPoint Charlotte, a division of FreshPoint North Carolina, Inc., is hiring a delivery driver to operate daily routes, load/unload goods, and serve customers at each stop. You will work from a domiciled location near the marketplace, cross-docking and returning the empty truck after routes.

You may assist with loading, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. A Class B CDL is required, with English proficiency for communication and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• One year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred)
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and reporting

Responsibilities

• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailer by hand or with a hand cart and place in designated storage areas
• Lift up to 75 pounds (up to 100 pounds) and manage palletized loads
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures
• Report discrepancies on invoices and communicate errors/returns to management
• Call in when a customer did not receive their entire order (shorts)
• Handle customer complaints professionally and follow safety rules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and Sysco policies
• Organize truck and ensure loads are delivered efficiently
• Check truck condition to ensure route readiness
