Job summary

FreshPoint, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced route delivery driver to manage daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading packages, and adhering to DOT and company policies.

You will operate in a cross-dock environment, picking up loaded trucks and returning empties to the loading dock, with occasional loading assistance as needed. The role requires at least one year of route delivery experience, a valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred), and strong English communication

Qualifications

• One-year route delivery experience or driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
• Proficient in English for reports, signage and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets with a hand cart.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures; inform management of discrepancies.
• Handles any customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
