Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Niles, MI is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to pick up and drop off food products for our customer network, with home daily schedules and local routes.

You will build relationships with customers while delivering to restaurants, schools, hospitals and more; independence and steady work are core features of this role. Must be able to unload up to 100 lbs and operate ramps and a two-wheeler as required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers (restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, etc.).
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and use ramp/two-wheeler as needed.
• Maintain safe driving habits and punctual local routes.

2428 S 11th St Ste 1, Niles MI

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday-Friday . Start time 3AM-5AM until work until the route is finished

Pay

Drivers average $70K - $90K /year

• Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week
• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
