Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver for local Akron routes. You will deliver food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals and more, staying local with home every day. You may unload cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler during shifts that start early and run Monday–Friday.

Expect daily safety practices, dependability, and strong customer service as you contribute to a company that values its drivers with weekly pay and solid benefits.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license at hire or within 90 days.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Ability to unload cases up to 350 lbs and handle on a ramp/two-wheeler.
• Must pass a drug test and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers on local routes.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and load/unload at customer sites.
• Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery windows.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: 791 Commerce Park Dr. Ste 2 Akron, OH

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

Monday-Friday. Start time 3 AM-5 AM until route finish

Pay

Drivers average $75,000 - $85,000year

• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
