Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Wheeling, IL is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to transport food products to our customers. You’ll build relationships with restaurants, schools, and hospitals, with day shifts and local routes that keep you home every day.

You’ll unload cases up to 100 lbs, operate a two-wheel cart, and start early, with a Monday–Friday schedule and start times between 3 AM and 5 AM. Competitive pay includes a weekly minimum of $1,100 plus miles, stops, and case delivery, plus profit

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL at hire.
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Able to unload cases up to 100 lbs.
• Pass a drug test and a background check.
• Must have a clean driving record per DOT standards and be registered in the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers on local routes.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs; use ramp and two-wheeler.
• Start early with a Monday–Friday schedule; be home daily.
• Build relationships with customers including restaurants, schools, and hospitals.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : 199 Shepard Ave, Wheeling, IL

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule : Monday-Friday. Start time 3 AM-5 AM until route finish

Minimum weekly guarantee of $1,100/week

Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

At least 21 years of age

Class A CDL License at hire

Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds

Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check

Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards

You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
