Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver for Marquette, MI. This role focuses on delivering to customer accounts, building relationships and ensuring timely, safe deliveries. Day and night relief shifts offer home daily with varied routes to healthcare facilities, schools and restaurants.

You will unload up to 100 lbs, use a ramp and two-wheeler, and maintain compliance with safety and DOT requirements. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Registration through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse required.

Responsibilities

• Potential van delivery for smaller accounts.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: Marquette, MI

Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: Sales Service Shift (Day Relief – 80% of Role):

• Work Days: Monday – Friday.
• Start Time: 2:00 AM – 4:00 AM EST.
• Shift Length: Estimated 8-10 hours.
• Duties: Delivery to customer accounts (healthcare, schools, commercial, independent accounts). Potential van delivery for smaller accounts.

• Night Transit Shift (Night Relief – 20% of Role):
  • Work Days: Sunday – Thursday.
  • Start Time: 4:00 PM EST.
  • Shift Length: Estimated 9-10 hours.
  • Duties: Depot-to-depot transit runs connecting Marquette, Escanaba, and Sault Ste. Marie.

Pay: Drivers average $80,000 – $90,000 / year

• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
