Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring a Local Class A Driver for Douglas, GA. The role offers a weekend-off schedule and home daily with no-touch freight. The position pays $22.00/hr on a 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 5:30pm–5:00am) in Douglas, GA, 31533.

You will handle local truckload deliveries, drop and hook, and drive an automatic 53' truck/dry van within a 100-mile radius. Applicants must have CDL-A, be at least 23, pass a DOT physical, and have a PSP below 10 as the past 3 years.

Qualifications

• CDL-A driving experience within the past year.
• Age 23 or older.
• Valid CDL to operate a CMV.
• DOT physical from a DOT-approved physician.
• No disqualifications to drive and clean PSP/record.
• DOT road test completed.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Logistics or related experience preferred.
• Able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

Overview

As a Local Class A Driver, you'll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

Hourly Pay:

$22.00/hr.

4th Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:30pm - 5:00am

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook

• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles

• Drive an automatic, 53' truck/dry van

What You'll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past year

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician

• No record of being disqualified to drive

• Successful completion of a DOT road test

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years - a higher score will be reviewed

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
