Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a dedicated delivery driver responsible for delivering merchandise to customers within established time windows. You will load/unload shipments, verify orders, and complete end-of-day reports with careful attention to DOT regulations.

The role requires a CDL Class B (Class A preferred), 1+ year route delivery experience, and strong English reading skills. Expect 9–11 hour shifts starting early morning in Lakeland, FL.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent.
• One-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Must be able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise according to pre-determined route.
• Unload correct merchandise and check order, noting any corrections.
• Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of day.
• Communicate with Manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day.
• Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization.
• Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations.
• Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to Edward Don & Company and OSHA standards.
• Effectively communicates to customers and all levels of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
