Job summary

Performance Food Group invites applications for an entry level Driver Trainee role based in Vermont. You will learn to operate tractor trailer or straight truck on local routes, complete the required driver training program, and perform safety inspections per DOT standards.

The position offers competitive pay starting at $75,000+ annually with a $1,100 minimum weekly training pay, boots and uniforms provided, and expansive Day 1 benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-6 months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL-A or B.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.

Responsibilities

• Complete training program and documentation.
• Assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Drive to deliveries and unload per route schedule.
• Ensure proper paperwork and signatures at delivery.
• Secure loads and keep equipment safe.
