Job summary

48forty Solutions LLC is hiring a CDL Driver in Houston, TX. You will handle local truckload deliveries, primarily drop and hook, and operate a 53’ automatic truck on 10–12 hour shifts from a base in Houston.

The role requires 1 year of CDL-A experience in the last 3 years, a valid CDL, and successful DOT medical clearance. Read, write, and speak English proficiently and be at least 23 years old.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license.
• Must pass a DOT physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
• No record of being disqualified to drive.
• Successful completion of a DOT road test.

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; drop and hook.
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles; about 6–8 routes per shift.
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 10–12 hour shifts.

Overview

As a CDL Driver, you’ll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

Hourly Pay:

$24.00/hr

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 5:00pm and twice a month 1/2 day Saturday

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook

• Deliver and pick up trailers within (100 of miles) making about (6-8) routes per shift

• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for (10-12 hour) shifts

What You'll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician

• No record of being disqualified to drive

• Successful completion of a DOT road test

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
