Job summary

FreshPoint, Inc. in Poway, CA is seeking a delivery driver to run daily routes with frequent stops, load packages onto hand trucks, and unload at each stop under the Transportation Department Manager's guidance.

You may assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties; must lift up to 75 pounds, navigate ramps or stairs, and follow DOT and company safety rules. A Class B CDL is required (Class A preferred) with one year of route delivery experience.

Qualifications

• High School or GED or equivalent.
• One-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred).
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand highway signs and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, to designated storage areas; may include transporting down ramps, stairs, or docks.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; stack/unstack pallets and use hand carts.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Calls in when a customer does not receive their entire order.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
