Job summary

US1158 FreshPoint Central California, Inc. is hiring drivers to run daily routes and unload products at customer sites. You will operate within a cross-dock model, loading and unloading with hand carts, following route plans set by the Transportation Department Manager.

Occasional loading assistance and palletizing may be required. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, the ability to read and speak English, and the ability to lift heavy freight repeatedly.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with driving record that meets minimum standards.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and reporting.
• Ability to lift/move freight as part of daily duties.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends and holidays as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
• Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart to designated areas.
• Frequently lift/move product weighing 40–60 pounds, up to 100 pounds.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Handle shorts and customer complaints professionally; perform safety inspections.
