Job summary

Thedrivingdesk is hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a local shuttle position based in West Haven, Connecticut. You will shuttle loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards, with some local support work as needed.

Expect daily home time on a Monday–Friday PM schedule with automatic equipment and consistent frozen grocery freight. Typical duties include drop-and-hook operations with no-touch freight, 5–10 shuttle runs per day, and occasional store transfers or trailer moves.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 6 months of CDL-A experience.
• Must live within 40 miles of West Haven, CT.
• Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
• Comfortable with slip-seat operation.
• Able to use an electric pallet jack if assigned store deliveries.
• Must meet all DOT and company hiring requirements.
• SAP drivers are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards.
• Occasional local support work as needed.
• Dropping and hooking trailers with no-touch freight.
• Handle 5–10 shuttle runs per day (minimum 3).
• May assist with store transfers, trailer moves, local backhauls, and supermarket deliveries.
