Job summary

The Driving Desk in West Haven, CT is hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a local shuttle position with daily home time. You will operate automatic transmission trucks on a Monday–Friday schedule, hauling frozen grocery freight between West Haven, CT, Milford, CT, and Westfield, MA with regular drops and no-touch freight.

Expect 5–10 shuttle runs per day and occasional store transfers or trailer moves. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO from day one, and paid orientation.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 6 months of CDL-A driving experience.
• Must live within 40 miles of West Haven, CT.
• Familiarity with slip-seat operation.
• No SAP drivers are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards.
• Perform drop-and-hook with no-touch freight.
• Occasionally assist with store transfers, trailer moves and local backhauls.
