Thedrivingdesk in East Granby, CT is hiring a CDL-A Shuttle Driver for a local, home-daily route. You’ll shuttle refrigerated trailers between distribution centers and relay yards, with mostly drop-and-hook, no-touch freight and 5–10 runs per day across a ~250-mile area.

Expect daily home time, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and weekly direct deposit. Strong safety and customer service skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to pass background check, DOT drug screening, and employment verification.
• Strong safety record.
• Comfortable working afternoon and evening shifts.
• Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle refrigerated grocery trailers between distribution centers and relay yards.
• Haul drop-and-hook, no-touch freight.
• Complete 5–10 shuttle runs per day.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete electronic logs and required DOT paperwork.
• Maintain safe, on-time deliveries.
• Occasionally assist with trailer moves, backhauls, or local store transfers.
