Thedrivingdesk is hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a local shuttle position based in West Haven, Connecticut. You will shuttle loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards, with some local support work as needed.

Expect daily home time on a Monday–Friday PM schedule with automatic equipment and consistent frozen grocery freight. Typical duties include drop-and-hook operations with no-touch freight, 5–10 shuttle runs per day, and occasional store transfers or trailer moves.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 6 months of CDL-A experience.
• Must live within 40 miles of West Haven, CT.
• Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
• Comfortable with slip-seat operation.
• Able to use an electric pallet jack if assigned store deliveries.
• Must meet all DOT and company hiring requirements.
• SAP drivers are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards.

We're hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a local shuttle position based in West Haven, Connecticut. This opportunity offers daily home time, a predictable Monday through Friday schedule, automatic equipment, and consistent frozen grocery freight.

Your primary responsibility will be shuttling loaded reefer trailers between distribution centers and relay yards, with occasional local support work as needed.

Pay & Compensation

• Average weekly earnings: $1,330–$1,350
• Published annual earnings: Approximately $70,000
• Daily attendance pay available
• $200 per day during new hire training
• Detention pay after the first hour
• Safety bonus opportunities
• Holiday pay available

Home Time

• Home Daily
• Monday–Friday PM schedule
• Weekends off in most cases
• Thanksgiving and Christmas off (New Year's not guaranteed)

Job Details

• Local shuttle operation hauling frozen grocery freight
• Primary routes between Westfield, MA, West Haven, CT, and Milford, CT
• Average 5–10 shuttle runs per day
• Minimum 3 shuttle runs daily
