Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a dedicated Driver to run daily routes, loading and unloading packages at stops with hand trucks, and coordinating with the Transportation Department Manager. You will operate in a cross-dock model, pick up nightly deliveries, and return trucks to the lot after routes.

Occasional assistance with loading and palletizing may be required. Qualified candidates are 21+, have a valid CDL Class A, and can read/speak English well.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass employment screening.
• License to drive - valid CDL Class A.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently.
• Frequent heavy lifting (40–100 lb) and manual handling.
• Overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Run daily routes efficiently and meet route times.
• Unload product from trailer and place in designated areas; transport as needed.
• Lift, push, or move 40–100 lb repeatedly; move pallets and use hand carts.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Report shorts and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company policies.
