Job summary

The Driving Desk is hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a local intermodal position serving the Inland Empire and Southern California. This role offers daily home time, no-touch freight, and consistent local work moving intermodal containers between rail yards, distribution centers, and customer locations.

Average weekly earnings are $1,500–$1,600+, with pay on day, night, and weekend shifts, plus $0.22 CPM mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Experience with intermodal trucking preferred.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
• Transport loaded and empty intermodal containers
• Pick up and deliver containers between rail ramps, customer facilities, and distribution centers
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Inspect chassis, containers, tires, lights, and securement equipment
• Complete electronic logs and DOT paperwork
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries
• Follow all rail-yard and terminal safety procedures
