Job summary

The Driving Desk is seeking experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a local intermodal role serving the Inland Empire and Southern California. You will move intermodal containers between rail yards, distribution centers, and customer locations with daily home time and no-touch freight.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and MVR review.
• Comfortable operating in rail-yard and intermodal environments.
• Must live within the approved hiring area.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
• Transport loaded and empty intermodal containers.
• Pick up and deliver containers between rail ramps, customer facilities, and distribution centers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Inspect chassis, containers, tires, lights, and securement equipment.
• Complete electronic logs and DOT paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow all rail-yard and terminal safety procedures.
