Job summary

Thedrivingdesk is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local intermodal route serving the Inland Empire and Southern California. You will move intermodal containers between rail yards, distribution centers, and customer locations with daily home time and no-touch freight.

We offer competitive weekly earnings, consistent local work, and a strong benefits package. Shifts include day, night, and weekend options, with pay differentials and mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with verifiable experience.
• Minimum 1 year of intermodal/tractor-trailer experience.
• Must reside within approved hiring area.
• Able to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and MVR.
• Comfortable operating in rail-yard and intermodal environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
• Transport intermodal containers between yards and facilities.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete DOT paperwork and logs.
• Adhere to safety procedures and local traffic laws.
