Job summary

Thedrivingdesk is hiring a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for Bell Gardens, CA. You will move loaded and empty intermodal containers, with daily home time, a five-day work week, and a mix of hourly pay plus stop pay. The role covers the Los Angeles and Inland Empire markets with steady freight and no OTR travel.

Expect weekly earnings of $1,400–$1,800, hourly pay at $19.25, and $18.71 per stop. Night shifts and weekend work are required, with home daily and a DOT-compliant schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required or ability to obtain if required by account.
• Must live within 25 miles of Bell Gardens, CA (90201).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport loaded and empty intermodal containers.
• Pick up and deliver containers between rail ramps, facilities and distribution centers.
• Connect and disconnect containers from chassis and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Complete electronic logs and DOT documentation; communicate with dispatch.
