Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Local CDL A Flatbed Driver in New Orleans to responsibly transport steel service center products under the Traffic Manager's guidance. The role emphasizes safety, proper loading, securement, and efficient delivery with proactive incident reporting and meticulous cargo handling.

Requirements include a valid CDL with endorsements, 6 months of Class A driving, DOT medical & drug testing compliance, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Age: 21+ years old.
• CDL with proper endorsements.
• DOT requirements: pass DOT physical and drug test; random testing.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable Class A driving experience; Gearing Up if 6–<24 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CDL compliance and timely license maintenance.
• Adhere to state and federal highway rules and regulations.
• Properly load and distribute weight before transport.
• Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage.
• Protect products from weather and damage during transport.
• Inspect fleet for safe, clean operation.
• Support use of new truck tech and equipment.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and staff.
• Practice safe driving at all times.
• Prepare and supervise unloading at destination.
• Report issues promptly to Traffic Manager and authorities.
• Participate in other related duties and ensure reliability.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in all tasks.
